New event for Re LIVE announced: based on Phantom of the Opera, where Junna will be playing Christine (and we’ll receive a copy of her for free! Probably a gacha SSR of Phantom!Nana, but no announcement to that effect yet.)

When these cards come out you bet your ass im gonna be combing through the details on the cards. All I can say now is Junna is on the opera house stage and you can see the infamous chandelier behind her. The chandelier is infamous cause the show opens with it raising above the audience and then the Phantom fucking drops it onto the stage right before intermission. Or at least in the musical version. The Phantom of the Opera has A LOT of adaptations. The book is in public domain so ppl go hogwild with this story thats for sure lol.
The book (the one the musical and all its other shit was based on) itself was written cause there was an incident at the Paris opera house where the chandelier’s counterweight fell and killed a singer on her first night on stage so Gaston Leroux was like “whoa ya know what would be fucked up, if someone did that on purpose. and if it was the whole damn thing” and so he wrote a book about what kind of person would do such a thing and why. Its a mystery novel about if there is a phantom, surprise yes there is. ouo
And you bet your ass Takarazuka theater has fucking done this before, its perfect for them. Fancy costumes, super dramatic with everyone being very emotional and having SO MANY FEELINGS, Erick (the phantom) is all tragic and shit, gothic setting, etc. Their version is called Phantom (which is a different version of POTO that came out in the 90s) and the hair is very fancy. Junna’s outfit is for sure from Phantom, in the musical Christine is normally dressed in either blues or whites (some black and red comes in for The Point of No Return) so I was like ??? on seeing Junna in green but it looks like that is also from the Takarazuka version. You can see the dress color best here I think. The style is also close to the Takarazuka version. Makes sense that this is all a take on the Takarazuka version considering rev star is so tightly connected with that specific type of theater. I love it. ouo
